It is an ancient art that performed essential functions in adapting the building to the external conditions and atmosphere, and satisfies the needs of the residents to a reasonable extent, and carries within it aesthetic artistic contents and foundations that stem from the sincerity of expression and the fruitful interaction of man with his land and environment with all the givens. This book comes to shed light on the doors, parts, and pieces.
Wooden work in traditional architecture in Dubai is considered a creative achievement and a great cultural legacy that was achieved on this land, and was developed by generations of craftsmen who took it upon themselves to advance this craft in accordance with various environmental, social, and religious conditions. It is this segment of craftsmen that the writer relied on in building his study. Through documented interviews, he learned from them the history of the carpentry craft and its origins, the types of wood used in carpentry, their features and sources, and the traditional methods that were followed in making doors and windows of various types. The researcher was also interested in studying the symbols and wooden inscriptions carried by these parts in terms of their sources and local names among the craftsmen, the engraving methods they used, and the parts that the craftsmen were interested in engraving.

He has a collection of books related to historical architecture and traditional inscriptions in the Arabian Gulf.
