Description

A novel whose events are hard to believe, but it happened anyway and was told as it is: its protagonist, university professor Dr. Wajdi, who specializes in history, changes his view of history, abhorring it and abandoning it to literature by trying to write his first novel. Her idea eludes him. It is learned, in a way, that Dostoevsky died and was unable to write the second part of the "Karamazov Brothers", which he planned to come twenty years after the life of the heroes of the first part, while there is an invisible hidden party with a direct interest in Dr. Wagdy’s travel to the Russian city of St. Petersburg, where Dostoevsky lived, wrote, and died. He already travels there with the intention of finding someone to conjure up Dostoevsky’s spirit to dictate to him the unwritten text of the second part. The process of evocation fails and the only way for the protagonist to get the idea of his novel is to return with his soul and in the body of another being to the days of Dostoevsky and experience it up close. The old shaman, whom he accidentally recognizes and convinces him to travel to her native Siberia, turns out to have special abilities and conducts a ritual to bring him back to Dostoevsky’s era in the form of his soul dissolved in another being; how will events develop next? And what is the fate of our hero as he pursues an idea only?
