Lawrence Krause is an American physicist and astronomer who is the founder of the Origins Project at the University of Arizona.
He is hailed in the American scientific community as one of the popular and well-known scientific thinkers.
He is the author of more than 800 scientific publications and the author of eight books, including his bestselling Star Trek and A Universe from Nothing.
He is the recipient of many international awards for research and writing and is considered one of the most famous theoretical physicists in the international scientific community.
One of the most important topics he is known for is the research linking quantum physics and cosmology, as his studies and research address important topics such as the beginning of the universe, the nature of dark matter, general relativity, and neutrino astrophysics.
He received his Ph.D. in Physics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1982, then joined the Harvard Society of Fellows.
In 1985 he joined the Faculty of Physics at Yale University, and moved in 1993 to become chair of the physics department at Case Western Reserve before taking up his current position at Arizona State University in 2008.
Krause writes for numerous scientific journals and newspapers and appears regularly. On radio and television.
