In this book, written by Ali Nasser Muhammad (former President of the People’s Democratic Republic of Yemen), memories of his relationship with Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan (may God rest his soul) since the beginning of his acquaintance with him at the Islamic Conference in 1974 in the Pakistani city of Lahore, then his repeated meetings with him in Abu Dhabi and abroad Abu Dhabi.
The book is a testimony to a period of time that was marked by many major events, changes, conflicts, and wars in Yemen, in its southern and northern parts. Its author mentions multiple issues, especially the issue of Yemeni unity, the differences of the leaders of South Yemen, and Sheikh Zayed’s quest – may God have mercy on him – to heal the rift, And the reform of the relationship, and his generous assistance to Yemen, as well as his quest to achieve Arab reconciliation between the Arab brothers in Syria and Iraq, Syria and Jordan.
The author deals with many political issues as well; Such as the Arab Cooperation Council, the Arab League . and to the idea of establishing the Arab Centre for Strategic Studies, which had branches in several Arab cities, and issued several books on fundamental political issues, and held several conferences. The book is not without some funny moments of his meeting with the poet Sultan Al Owais, and the interesting dialogue that took place between them.
The book is part of the author’s memoirs, and articles he wrote about Zayed – may God have mercy on him – on various occasions. It contains a lot of information, events, situations and memories.
