When a fire breaks out in the house of one of the residents of this town, and the head of the family dies, leaving behind seven orphans, the town’s merchants take on the task of taking care of them, and appoint the chief merchant as their guardian. Then relatives of the orphans appear, and events continue over the years, revealing the ambitions of different parties with the orphans’ money. Events continue, some masks fall, some characters’ true colours are revealed, and machinations take place to harm people and places by some characters that would never occur to the reader!
About the Author
Mona Nasser Al-Mualla holds a bachelor’s degree in media from the Higher Colleges of Technology. She began writing at the age of thirteen, influenced by the novels she began reading in the same year. Her love for writing grew as she continued to read, and her taste developed from novels to various types of books. She prefers reading and writing in Arabic and English, and has previously published a social satire book entitled The Drug of Smart Devices" in both languages in 2017 and 2018. The Guardian" is her first published novel, and it may be the fastest novel she wrote. It did not take her more than three months to complete it, and this is considered an achievement for her after a long hiatus from writing.
